 What's New for the 2024 MAZDA CX-50?

The Mazda CX-50 debuted in 2023 as a compact crossover offered alongside the compact Mazda CX-5. Comparatively, the Mazda CX-50 is the more rugged of the two options, making it a smart fit for those with a more adventurous lifestyle. In 2024, its capabilities are improved with upgrades to the suspension and steering systems. Together, these enhance the Mazda CX-50's handling. The 2024 Mazda CX-50 continues to be available with a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder gas engine and a turbocharged version of this same engine. They produce 187-horsepower and 227-horsepower, respectively. Both engines across all trims have standard all-wheel drive and a six-speed auto transmission.

In addition to the improvements to the 2024 Mazda CX-50's capabilities, the crossover expands the availability of a few features in its lineup. There continue to be eight trim levels, including the Select, Preferred, Premium, and Premium Plus. The higher trims have a turbo engine, including the Turbo, Turbo Meridian, Turbo Premium, and Turbo Premium Plus. For 2024, the Premium trim and all higher trims now have a wireless charging pad and a Bose sound system with 12 speakers.

The engaging style of the Mazda CX-50 is unchanged. While it is a compact crossover with the smooth contouring the brand is known for, its tall roofline, black body molding, and swollen rear fenders add an athletic touch. The grille is broad and connects to the compact headlights. The headlights boast a U-shaped LED element for distinction, and they accompany amber-colored lighting that runs linearly near the angled gills. The Mazda CX-50's available exterior features are roof rails, a power liftgate, heated mirrors with a power-folding function, a panoramic sunroof, up to 20-inch alloy wheels, self-leveling adaptive headlights, and others.

The many other features offered across the Mazda CX-50's eight trim levels carry forward from the 2023 version unchanged. These may include steering wheel paddle shifters, leather upholstery, driver's memory settings, heated seats, a head-up display, a surround-view monitor, a navigation system, reverse auto braking, blind-spot intervention, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, a dual-zone auto climate control system, a digital instrument display screen, a 10.25-inch central display screen, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and additional features.
