What's New for the 2025 MAZDA CX-5 2.5 S Carbon Edition?
The brilliantly designed Mazda CX-5 has been a leading option for compact crossover SUV shoppers over the years. In 2025, this two-row model will be a mid-generation model with several improvements for you to enjoy. The model continues to be available with two distinctive powertrain options: the 2.5 S and the 2.5 Turbo. There are eight trim levels between these options. Our valued customers often inquire about the mid-level Mazda CX-5 2.5 S Carbon Edition.
The 2.5 S trim levels are all outfitted with a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder gas engine. This engine provides you with 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission. As is true for all 2025 Mazda CX-5 trim levels, the 2.5 S Carbon Edition has standard all-wheel drive.
The Mazda CX-5 has a contemporary facade with a gracefully flowing profile and athletically raked side windows. At the front end, the U-bottom grille is underscored by a thick band of trim. Triangular, LED-enhanced headlights link to the top corners of the headlights. Exterior features include windshield wiper de-icers, up to 19-inch wheels, and heated and power-folding side mirrors.
In 2025, the Carbon Edition will now come with standard wireless phone charging and wireless smartphone app connectivity for the first time. In addition, this and the other trim levels are available with USB-C ports in the front row as a standard feature.
If you select the Carbon Edition trim level, your Mazda CX-5 will also be equipped with red leather upholstery, a premium Bose sound system with 10 speakers, a power liftgate, and a sunroof. Other features include powered driver's adjustments and memory settings, a dual-zone auto climate control system, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, a 10.25-inch infotainment system screen, forward collision mitigation, a push-button engine starter, a lane departure warning system, a blind-spot warning system, and more.
