The spirited, stylish Mazda CX-50 launched in 2023 as a gas-powered vehicle. In 2025, the Mazda CX-50 Hybrid debuts as an alternative. This compact crossover SUV seats five passengers and is available with three trim levels. These are the Hybrid Preferred, the Hybrid Premium, and the Hybrid Premium Plus. For those searching for a well-appointed option without the top-of-the-line price tag, the Premium trim level is the perfect choice.
The 2025 Mazda CX-50 Hybrid Premium and the other hybrid trim levels are outfitted with three electric motors as well as a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder gas engine. This system generates 219 combined horsepower. The hybrid system includes a continuously variable automatic transmission. Every Mazda CX-50 Hybrid trim level is also equipped with standard all-wheel drive.
The Mazda CX-50 Hybrid is comparably styled to the gas-powered trim levels. It sports a rolling roof with a tapered rear to expand cargo space and passenger seating. The dark molding over the fenders has a boxy look, and this molding thickens as it runs along the bottom portion of the doors. At the front end, the molded bumper is framed by gill-like air vents. The features available in the Hybrid Premium and lower trims include a power liftgate, heated front seats, heated side mirrors, adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, lane departure mitigation, a blind-spot warning, a 10.25-inch infotainment system display screen, a keyless ignition, a digital instrument panel, and wireless smartphone app connections.
