What's New for the 2025 MAZDA CX-90 PHEV?
As the largest SUV in Mazda's 2025 lineup, the Mazda CX-90 offers all of the cargo space and seating you need. This three-row model is offered as a plug-in hybrid and introduces a new Premium Sport trim level. The trim options for 2025 are the Preferred, the Premium Sport, and the Premium Plus. Otherwise, the Mazda CX-90 PHEV is unchanged from the 2024 model year.
The new Premium Sport trim stands out from the other trim levels with dark exterior trim. These elements include piano black roof rails, side mirrors, grille, and 21-inch wheels. The front and rear bumpers are also blacked-out. Overall, the Mazda CX-90 PHEV for all trim levels has a magnificent presence on the road. It is styled with a sloping roof and smoothly defined surfaces. On the sides, a horizontal air vent adds class. On the nose, the U-bottomed grille is underscored by a chrome element. An amber LED bar runs between the top of the grille and the small LED headlights.
Inside, the Premium Sport delivers comfort and tech features like a navigation system, a head-up display, optional captain's chairs in the second row, a Bose sound system with 12 speakers, and a head-up display. It also comes with all of the features offered at the base preferred trim level. These include adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot warning, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a tri-zone climate control system, a sunroof, a wireless charger, USB ports, leather upholstery, second-row sunshades, a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, and more.
The Mazda CX-90 PHEV has the power and engineering to move effortlessly over the miles. Its all-electric range is 26 miles. The inline-four engine and battery pack produce 323 horsepower. This engine pairs with an eight-speed auto transmission. All-wheel drive is standard for all PHEV trim levels. It can shoot you up to 60 miles per hour from a standstill in only 5.9 seconds. The Mazda CX-90 PHEV also offers fast charging. With a 240-volt charger, the battery can be charged from 20 percent to 80 percent in only 90 minutes.
