What's New for the 2025 MAZDA MX-5 MIATA?
In 2025, the popular Mazda MX-5 Miata celebrates its 35th year with a limited-run 35th Anniversary Edition. Only 300 of these vehicles will be sold in the U.S., and all will be styled with tan Nappa leather and Artisan Red Metallic paint. This Mazda MX-5 Miata will come with all of the features offered with the top-of-the-line Grand Touring trim level.
Otherwise, this two-seat convertible is unchanged in 2025. The exterior design has a powerful yet sleek look that perfectly illustrates its performance capabilities. The clamshell roof tapers sharply to a well-defined trunk lid. At the front, the dramatically swooping hood is flanked by large swells over the front fenders. Comparable swells roll over the rear fenders. The rounded nose sits low to the ground, flanking triangular air inlets. Outer features are a spoiler, a soft top, heated side mirrors, auto-dimming side glass on the driver's side, rain-sensing wipers, and more.
Under the hood, the 2025 Mazda MX-5 Miata is powered by a single powertrain for all trim levels. This is a 181-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.0-liter gas unit. A six-speed manual transmission is standard for all trim levels. The Grand Touring, however, is offered with a six-speed automatic transmission as well. Select trims add track mode, a shock tower brace, a limited slip differential, and Bilstein shock absorbers with a sport-tuned suspension system.
The Mazda MX-5 Miata is well-equipped throughout the cabin and with advanced safety features. Some of its equipment includes adaptive cruise control if the auto transmission is selected, road sign assistance, an auto-dimming rear mirror, a navigation system, leather upholstery, heated sport seats, wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, an 8.8-inch touch display screen, forward collision mitigation, a nine-speaker Bose sound system, a blind-spot warning system, an infotainment system with Amazon Alexa, and more.
