Performance
The 2024 Mazda CX-5 offers two powertrains: the 2.5 S and the 2.5 Turbo. The 2.5 S has a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine that produces 187 horsepower, while the 2.5 Turbo has a turbo 2.5-liter, four-cylinder system that can produce up to 256 horsepower. Both have all-wheel drive and a six-speed auto transmission. The 2024 Mazda CX-50 is similarly equipped under the hood. It also adds a towing mode and paddle shifters in select trim levels.
Appearance
The Mazda CX-5 is aesthetically stunning with a perfectly sporty, sleek facade. Its look is defined by sculpted, angled contouring over the doors and angled definition running down the hood. The piercing LED headlamps integrate with the wide grille. This crossover's exterior features include a hands-free liftgate, power-folding and heated side mirrors, adaptive headlights, and others. The Mazda CX-50 has a taller profile with subtly molded haunches and arched side contouring. The black side molding extends across the bumpers. The grille is wider than the Mazda CX-5's grille, and the headlights are thicker. The headlights show off a U-style LED accent and are mounted over prominent air inlets. This model has the same features as the Mazda CX-5: all-terrain tires and roof rails.
