Serving Chicago, IL

The Mazda CX-90 is a fresh option in the lineup, and this three-row, midsize crossover SUV replaces the outgoing Mazda CX-9. A plug-in hybrid version of the Mazda CX-90 is also available. The most significant difference between the Mazda CX-90 and the Mazda CX-90 PHEV is found under the hood, but there are a few additional differences for you to explore.

Performance

The 2024 Mazda CX-90 offers two engine systems. The base engine is a V6, turbo 3.3-liter gas engine that produces 280 horsepower. An enhanced version of this engine provides you with 340 horsepower. The Mazda CX-90 features an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive for all trim levels. The Mazda CX-90 PHEV combines an electric motor with a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine. It offers 323 horsepower, and its all-electric driving range is 25 miles. The Mazda CX-90 PHEV has the same transmission and drivetrain as the gas-powered Mazda CX-90.

Appearance

The 2024 Mazda CX-90 is beautifully styled with a sporty, descending roofline and a long, tall hood. The smooth sides are paired with rolling definition over the back haunches. Chrome accents line the lower door panels and the side air inlet. The large grille is outlined on three sides with a thick chrome bar, and this bar integrates with the contemporary LED headlights. Tall gills below the headlights add a dramatic touch. The Mazda CX-90 PHEV boasts a modest curve through the roof. At the front, the grille and air intakes are smaller. The chrome accent on the grille is thinner, and it protrudes outward to connect to small LED headlights.

Features

The Mazda CX-90 and the Mazda CX-90 PHEV are available with most of the same features in their various trim levels. Behind the wheel of either vehicle, you could take advantage of heated seats in the first two rows, a wireless charging pad, leather upholstery, a hands-free liftgate, a panoramic sunroof, a Bose audio system, a surround-view monitor, forward collision avoidance, smartphone app connectivity, driver's side memory settings, a head-up display, a heated steering wheel, parking sensors, reverse auto braking, and a navigation system.
