Performance

Two powertrain systems are offered for the 2025 Mazda CX-5. Five of the eight trim levels have a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower. The remaining Mazda CX-5 trim levels have a 227-horsepower, turbo four-cylinder engine. The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is available with three powertrains. These include a 280-horsepower V6 turbo 3.3-liter engine and an upgraded version of this engine that generates 340 horsepower. A plug-in hybrid powertrain is also offered.

Appearance

The Mazda CX-5's modern and athletic design has a raked roof and a tapered, defined hood. Across the sides, the 2025 Mazda CX-5 shows off subtly angled contouring and a narrow band of body molding. The nose has a sleek look with slender headlights that connect to the wide grille. The Mazda CX-90 is a larger model with a curved hood and a taller nose. The smooth side panels are dressed up with an air vent near the front fender and thick lower-body molding. The grille is accented with a thick chrome element on the sides. This element links to the small headlamps via an amber-colored LED bar.

Features

The 2025 Mazda CX-5 is appointed with gear like wireless smartphone app connections, heated front and rear seats, a head-up display, a Bose audio system with ten speakers, a navigation system, wood trim, leather upholstery, a wireless charging pad, a hands-free power liftgate, forward collision sensing with mitigation, a 10.25-inch infotainment system screen, and others. The Mazda CX-90 builds on these features with a tri-zone climate control system, second-row sunshades, second-row captain's chairs, a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, and additional features.
