2025 MAZDA CX-50 vs 2025 MAZDA CX-50 HYBRID
Serving Chicago, IL
The Mazda CX-50 is a remarkable, compact crossover SUV that debuted in 2023, and it introduces a few improvements for the 2025 model year. Specifically, the Turbo trim is deleted, and a hybrid powertrain is available for the first time. What are the differences between the 2025 Mazda CX-50 and the Mazda CX-50 Hybrid?
Performance
The first four of the Mazda CX-50's gas-powered trim levels come with the same 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. This is a 187-horsepower system. The higher-level trims feature a turbo 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces up to 256 horsepower. The Mazda CX-50 Hybrid model features a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder gas engine mated with three electric motors. This system generates 256 horsepower. All Mazda CX-50 crossovers come with standard all-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission.
Appearance
The 2025 Mazda CX-50 has the same look across its gas-powered and hybrid trim levels. The model's sides have a sporty, angular contour that bends downward toward the rear haunches. Body molding runs along the lower sides from front to rear. Across the front end, the wide grille covers most of the nose, and it bends upward at the sides to link to the compact LED headlights. Some or all trim levels come with roof rails, a power liftgate, heated and power-folding side mirrors, a panoramic sunroof, and up to 20-inch wheels.
Features
The hybrid and gas-powered Mazda CX-50 models share many of the same features, but the available features vary by trim. Some of these features are driver's memory settings, a head-up display, leather upholstery, a Bose sound system, heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, lane departure mitigation, a forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and others. The highest gas trim levels are also available with blind-spot intervention, front and rear parking, heated rear seats, a surround-view monitor, a Bose sound system, a head-up display and a few additional features.
