The 2025 Mazda CX-50 is a stunning, compact crossover SUV that debuted in 2023. It is often compared to the three-row Mazda CX-90, which was introduced to the lineup last year. Performance

The 2025 Mazda CX-50 is offered with 10 trim levels as well as two powertrain options. The first gas engine is a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder unit that puts out 187 horsepower. A turbo 2.5-liter, four-cylinder gas engine is also available, and it gives you up to 256 horsepower. The hybrid system includes this turbo engine and three electric motors, and its output is 219 combined horsepower.

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is also available with three engines. The gas engines are a turbo 3.3-liter, V6, 280-horsepower engine and a high-powered variation that produces 340 horsepower. The Mazda CX-90 is also available with a plug-in hybrid system.

Appearance

While all Mazda crossover SUVs share a sleek, impressive design language, the Mazda CX-50 has a more rugged look. It is styled with a tall roof line, tapered definition lines across the hood and rolling contours on the sides. The wide grille sits above a narrow bumper, and the angled air inlets flare at the sides. At the top of the grille, the corners connect to small, half-moon LED headlights.

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is 15 inches longer than the 2025 Mazda CX-50. It has deep yet smooth contouring angled across the doors and subtly defined fenders. The tall roof is effortlessly raked at the rear. At the front end, the grille is similar to the Mazda CX-50's grille, and it stands apart with thicker metallic trim. The small headlights have an innovative, L-shaped LED element.

Depending on which trim level you select, the Mazda CX-50 is available with front and rear parking sensors, heated front and rear seats, blind-spot intervention, a navigation system, a surround-view monitor, a head-up display, driver's memory settings, a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, an auto-dimming rear mirror, a power liftgate, adaptive cruise control, a 10.25-inch infotainment system display screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Mazda CX-90 has several of these features as well as a third row of seats. In addition, it is available with second-row captain's chairs, quilted leather upholstery, auto-reverse braking, second-row sunshades and a few other features.
