The engaging 2025 Mazda3 is offered in your choice of sedan and hatchback body styles. While many aspects of these two options are comparable, you will spot a few differences between them when you take a closer look. What should you be aware of before deciding between the Mazda3 Sedan and the Mazda3 Hatchback?

Performance

The sedan and hatchback versions of the Mazda3 are both available with two trim levels and various sub-trims. The two core trims are the 2.5 S and the 2.5 Turbo. The first trim level is equipped with a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 191 horsepower. This engine is tied to a six-speed automatic transmission. It comes with front-wheel drive, and shoppers have the option to upgrade to all-wheel drive. The 2.5 Turbo comes with a 2.5-liter turbocharged, four-cylinder unit. With regular gas, it produces 227 horsepower. If you fill the tank with high-octane fuel, your new Mazda will generate 250 horsepower. It comes with the same transmission as well as standard all-wheel drive.

Appearance

The 2025 Mazda3 Sedan and Mazda3 Hatchback share their front-end design. The design features a long, sloping hood with strong contouring along the perimeter. The grille sits low to the ground, partially surrounded by a metallic accent. The bumper has a ledge feature for differentiation, and the slender LED headlights are dramatically stretched and angled. The sedan has a modern, confident profile with a beautifully tapered roof. Across the sides, definition rounds over the fenders and across the doors is smooth. The hatchback, on the other hand, shows a low-profile, steeply raked rear. The back haunches are more strongly flared, and the side definition has a strong impact.

Features

The Mazda3 2.5 S Premium is exclusively available with the hatchback body style. It features a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a head-up display, traffic sign recognition with the navigation system, a six-speed manual transmission, enhanced lighting, a head-up display, and features offered in the other trim levels. For both body styles, you could select trim with a surround-view camera, leather upholstery, lane centering, front and rear parking sensors, paddle shifters, a 10.25-inch touch display screen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto with wireless connections, a wireless charging pad, and numerous additional features.
