2025 MAZDA CX-50 vs 2024 MAZDA CX-50
Serving Chicago, IL
The Mazda CX-50 launched in 2023 as a small crossover SUV with rugged styling. It offers the functionality and excellent features that you expect from a Mazda crossover, and it has only grown more impressive over the years. In 2025, Mazda will introduce numerous updates to the available features in the Mazda CX-50. At McGrath City Mazda, we are pleased to help you discover the differences between the 2024 Mazda CX-50 and the 2025 version.
Performance
A total of 10 trim levels are available for the Mazda CX-50, and their performance capabilities have not changed. The Select, Preferred, Premium, and Premium Plus trim levels draw 187 horsepower from a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine for both years. The Turbo Meridian, Turbo Premium, and Turbo Premium Plus trim levels have a turbo 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. This system produces 227 horsepower with standard gas or 256 horsepower with premium gas. For the 2025 model year, there is also a hybrid powertrain available. It has three electric motors paired with a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. This system produces 219 total horsepower.
Appearance
From a design standpoint, the 2025 Mazda CX-50 is identical to the 2024 model year. The model's rugged edge comes from its raised ground clearance and thick body molding. In addition, the fenders are squared off, and the roof displays only a subtle angle. On the nose, the Mazda CX-50's grille has a U-shaped bottom with a stretched appearance. The grille reaches up to connect with small, half-moon LED headlights. Exterior features that are available or standard for 2024 and 2025 include roof rails, all-terrain tires, up to 20-inch wheels, self-leveling headlights, and a power liftgate.
Features
In 2025, the infotainment system screen will grow to 10.3 inches, and Amazon Alexa will become standard for all trim levels. In addition, nighttime pedestrian detection and a rear-seat alert are new. Most of the 2025 trim levels also now have a standard wireless smartphone charging pad. For both model years, the available or standard features include a blind-spot warning, wireless smartphone app connections, a partially digital instrument panel, remote keyless entry, heated front seats, memory settings for the driver, a head-up display, a Bose audio system, and several other features.
