Performance

From a performance perspective, the 2024 and 2025 versions of the Mazda CX-90 are identical. However, the Turbo S and Preferred Plus trim levels are not available in 2025. The entry-level powertrain is a 3.3-liter turbo, six-cylinder engine that generates 280 horsepower. An upgraded version of this engine i produces 340 horsepower. In addition, a plug-in hybrid powertrain system is available. These powertrains all come with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed auto transmission.

Appearance

The 2024 Premium trim level has been replaced by the Premium Sport in 2025. The Premium Sport stands apart from other Mazda CX-90 trim levels with dark 21-inch wheels as well as black accents on the roof rails, bumpers, side mirrors, grille and badging. The Mazda CX-90's style is unchanged going into the 2025 model year. It shows off a clean, high-end look with a decadently sloping profile and premium, angled side contours. The U-bottom grille is underscored by a chrome element. This element thickens on the sides before turning outward to support the small headlights. Exterior features available are power-folding and auto-dimming side mirrors, a hands-free liftgate, roof rails and up to 21-inch wheels.

Features

A few updates are introduced in the Mazda CX-90's features. For example, the bench seat in the second row is now offered with more trim levels. Except for the 2025 Mazda CX-90's base trim level, the infotainment system display screen grows to 12.3 inches. Other standard and available features are unchanged between 2024 and 2025. Some of the features offered include an integrated navigation system, driver's memory functions, a digital gauge cluster, a head-up display, premium leather upholstery, front cross-traffic sensing with automatic braking, a surround-view camera, second-row captain's chairs, a wireless phone charger and many additional features.
